“Lucky sucker,” Dani growled, pausing and then feeling a light blush tint across her cheeks. “Sorry, no pun intended there.” she grumbled, averting her gaze to the other side of the clearing. “Eh, I can skip school tomorrow to get some sleep, so I’ve got until dawn before I have to go. I can stay awake that long, it’s not like I haven’t done that before. And if you want to know more about me, then ask away, because I don’t know where to start. I can’t think of any good questions right now, so the next time I’ll see you will be your interrogation.” She let out a quiet chuckled at the idea of interrogation before shaking her head, rubbing the back of her hand over her eyes like it was an attempt to wipe the sleep away. She froze when the side of her hand brushed against the scar on her cheek, which she’d completely forgotten about until just then, before letting her arm fall back over her stomach. With a weak smile her eyes locked with Riley’s, an eyebrow raised in question as she waited to be bombarded with question after question about herself.

Riley raised an eyebrow, a frown lingering on his lips. "Well, I guess it was an accident..." He shook his head and looked at her his head tilting to the side when he caught her movements. He furrowed his brow slightly in puzzlement and when she moved her hand away he realized that she had a scar. He frowned slightly, he was definatly curious, but he didn't want to ask. He didn't feel to need to. "Alright, what's your family like?" He asked rubbing the back of his neck. He caught his locket clasp and smiled slightly, he took his hand from his neck and looked at the forest floor. "They must be just like family, but I want to know everything. I haven't had family in forever." He smiled. "I also want to know your age, I'm supposedly 18." He grinned. "I don't want to seem like a pedophile."

Dani gave a weary smile when he asked about her family; that was a topic she could definitely talk about. She’d noticed the slightly curious look when he’d realized she had a scar, and he’d asked the right question for her to be able to answer the event that had given her the scar. “Well, my mom’s your typical stay-at-home mom, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of us is her job, and she doesn’t complain too much until my brother and I became werewolves. Now she complains that we eat too much, though it’s only playful and she’s proud of us all the same. My dad is good enough, seeing as how he’s the strict one and the one my brother and I are afraid to get in trouble with. He’s a little bit sad that the wolf gene skipped his generation, but he’s gotten over it and is proud that his children get to continue the tradition of guarding the res.
“Now, my older brother… Let’s see, he’s the one who gets on my nerves to no end, always picks on me simply because I’m his little sister, ends up wrestling me and winning so easily that it’s pathetic on my part, and since I was fourteen has been very apologetic. See, we’d been having a bonfire on the beach when a vamp kinda just appeared out of nowhere behind me, having snuck up on all of the werewolves- I hadn’t actually phased yet, so I couldn’t quite consider myself a wolf- and my brother phased and lunged at the vamp. His aim was a little off though, just barely grazing my cheek with one of those damn sharp claws, the mark eventually leaving a scar.” She paused, frowning at the memory but then having it gradually change into a smile at the idea of how many times her brother had apologized, and by now it was getting on her nerves. “I’m 17, so you have no need to worry. Why, how old did you think I was?” she asked, chuckling lightly. Everyone always thought she was younger then she actually was.

Riley listened intently, he smiled his family was basically the same, but he was the younger sibling. His sister picked on him as well but she was smart and he was glad that he had someone to look up to without being bashed every second. His mom was the same, in a way, but really she had no choice, in those days, that's how it was. There family had money, but it was only because their father was really successful. Riley looked at Danielle when she mentioned the vampire attack. He frowned slightly. He listened to her age and smiled weakly. "I'm not going to answer that, it's my questions." He stuck out his tongue and crossed his arms. "Alright, serious question, is your brother going to like me? Even a little bit?" He asked showing about how much with his fingers which only gently grazed each other. Eh, probably not...

Danielle frowned when Riley wouldn’t answer her question, but she shrugged it off, considering he had a point and it was his time to ask the questions. Upon hearing the next one she closed her eyes, her eyebrows furrowed as she thought. “Maybe a little. He’s going to hate you at first because of what you are, but he pretty much adores me, even if he doesn’t like to admit it. I could convince him to like a vampire that daily tried to kill me who had the personality of a rock, so he’ll learn to like you or face getting a pissed little sister who can probably hurt him.” She nodded when the answer seemed to fit, opening her eyes to wait patiently for the next question. Her brother would understand when she explained that, other than the vampire traits, Riley was just like a typical 18-year-old that she really cared about, both by choice and by force. He’d understand, though he’d have a hell of an argument about the fact that she was in love with a vampire. "He'll warm up to you, trust me. You won't have to worry about him."

"Ah, then it's the pack I'll have to worry about..." He stated with a slight frown. "The pack, are you good friends with all of them?" He asked. "Or more of, who are your friends?" He asked smiling, he was actually kind of anxious. He couldn't quite believe how he might even meet her brother. He decided that it wouldn't be a good idea, even if he did warm up to him. They were still enemies... Riley scratched his chin trying to think of more questions, there were so many he could ask and he tried thinking ahead of time just because he could. But he wasn't sure what to ask.

“I can’t really pick and choose which of the pack are my friends, because pretty much all of them are. Being able to read someone’s mind on a near regular basis can do that to you. But if I had to choose, I’d say that Quin, Autumn, and Artemis are my closest friends. Pretty much all of the girls are my friends, considering we can actually talk and not have it be awkward.” Dani said slowly, pausing between each of the names as she debated each of them before actually saying them. She didn’t have many friends outside of the pack, mainly because she didn’t have time and they wouldn’t be able to know about a big portion of her life. She ran her fingers through her black hair, trying to think of more questions he would ask so she could prepare an answer for them ahead of time. Getting a little bit uncomfortable, she let herself slip down the tree trunk until she was sitting, her knees pulled up to her chest, looking curiously up at Riley, tempted to ask him to come sit next to her but deciding against it. She wouldn’t be cruel enough to make him do something that could make it harder for him, considering that in her opinion he was doing a damn good job of being good.

Riley looked down at Danielle and smirked. "Alright, have you ever had a boyfriend?" He asked with a chuckle. He wasn't all to sure that that was a good question, and he was beginning to wish he could take it back. He kind of figured that she would get mad at him but the easiest thing to do was to get her mad at him. He was beginning to think that he didn't have the luck of protecting her, almost like he had no choice but try and protect her anyways. He had a feeling he wouldn't be able to leave her alone, especially if there were others in the area that might end up finding out. Riley frowned, he didn't want her hurt. But he wouldn't bring it up due to the fact she'd get mad at him.

Danielle stared at Riley for a moment like he was crazy before laughing, shaking her head as an answer, unable to stop long enough to get the words out. That was one of the few questions she hadn’t expected, but she probably should have. Finally calming herself down long enough to actually get words out, she went on to explain. “No, I haven’t, nor do I give a shit. All the boys around here are either my friends that I don’t like in that way or the biggest idiots on the face of the earth who care about nothing more then how you look. It’s best I not even explain what they’ve tried to do, though they all ended up hurting in one way or another.” She smirked at the memories and shook her head, chuckling lightly at one guy who’d just straight out tried to kiss her when she didn’t even know him. In one punch she pretty much broke his nose and knocked out two teeth, probably making another five loose.

Riley smirked. "Huh, you don't care? Well what if I asked you out, what would you say? Hypothetically." Riley asked plopping down so he was looking at her. He pulled one leg up to his chin and looked at her. Half expecting her to fall alseep, he had expected her to laugh, deep inside, the more dominant expection was that she would feel uncomfortable. Riley frowned wanting to know her answer to his question but he himself said hypothetically, it wouldn't be an actual answer.

“I would say yes, hypothetically of course.” Danielle said, not feeling as tired right now considering she was having to keep her mind open so she could answer his questions. As if to contradict what she’d just said, she let out a small yawn, raising an arm to cover her mouth slightly out of habit. She mumbled a curse about being able to get tired, but wasn’t really paying attention to what she’d actually said.
“I said that I didn’t care, true, but that was about everyone else I’d known prior to tonight. Besides, I wasn’t imprinted on any of them, so that helps make my mind up for me a little bit more than usual.” She rested her chin on her knees, waiting for a reaction, response, or the next question, which ever came first. She absently played with the band-aid on her one finger, positive that by now the small cut had healed, as she’d stated earlier a nice little perk of being a werewolf.

Riley smirked, she would say yes, but of course. He wouldn’t ask her out, what complications would that end up causing? Riley grinned and looked at her. “Well, what’s your favorite food? You’ve got to describe it, and this’ll be my last question, you’re tired, and you should defiantly get some sleep. I know for a fact you won’t sleep with me around.” He smiled and looked at Danielle his head tilted slightly. “At least, I think it’s a fact…” He snickered

“Favorite food, favorite food,” Dani mumbled, having to actually think about that, considering she never could quite choose what her favorite food was. She closed her eyes to concentrate more, though when the urge to fall asleep started to grow since her eyes were closed, she groggily opened them halfway to look blankly at the ground in front of her. “Um… probably my mom’s home-made ravioli. She makes everything from scratch; the noodles, the sauce, the filling, everything. She adds extra meat, considering she knows my brother and I love it when she does, and adds mozzarella and cheddar cheese in with the meat and mushroom filling. It turns out really good, and thank you, now I’m hungry.” Her voice was quiet and tired, but she could manage to force herself to stay awake for a long time if she needed to, and she’d had to before. She stuck her tongue out and wrapped her arms tighter around her stomach which was on the verge of growling, and she made a mental note to raid the fridge when she got home before she went to sleep.
“And that isn’t a fact, because frankly I trust you for some reason. You’re the one who doesn’t trust yourself, and that isn’t my fault.” She got to her feet, looking around to gather where she was before turning in the direction she’d need to go in order to get to the main road that she’d travel to get home. She didn’t feel like phasing right now, so she’d simply walk, it’s not like she didn’t have time. Pausing, she turned to look over her shoulder at Riley. “Are you going to run away from me after I leave or are you going to be nice and meet me again sometime?” she asked, a small tone of a whine in her voice at the idea.

Riley stood as well and watched her walk away, he smirked, and started off as well. He heard her words and stopped midstep, he closed his eyes, he had been planning not to ever see her again, that maybe he'd run off someplace and not have to worry about having to see her. He sighed and turned slightly, but he didn't look at her. "Maybe, if anything, I'll find you." He said simply before turning to walk off again, he shoved his hands in his pockets and looked up at the sky his held tilted to the side. He started walking and when he was happy that he was far enough away he stopped and turned to look in the direction he had come. He was far enough so that he couldn't smell her blood, and he was kind of stuck on the desicion if he possibly wanted to see her again. The answer was yes, and he knew it. But he didn't want to cause trouble. Riley frowned and looked back in the direction of home. "The pen is to the paper, now let's see what life will write." He mumbled walking again.
